What do I need to apply for the ETA to India?

To apply for the Indian Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), you need to prepare and submit specific documents depending on the type of visa you are applying for. Here are the requirements outlined by visa type:

Tourist visa

1. Valid passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of intended entry into India. Ensure your passport has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps.

2. Recent passport photo size. The photograph must meet international standards for official documents. It should be in color, with a white background, and taken within the last 6 months.

Business Visa
In addition to the requirements mentioned for the tourist visa, you will need the following:

1. Company business card: A copy of your company business card, which includes details such as your name, job title, and company contact information.

2. Invitation letter from indian company: An official letter from the Indian company inviting you for business purposes. The letter should include the purpose of your visit, duration of stay, and any other relevant details. It must be signed by an authorized representative of the Indian company.

3. Additional documents (if applicable): Depending on the purpose of your business trip, Indian immigration authorities may request additional documents. These could include details of the project you will be working on, employment contracts, or any other specific documents related to your business visit.

Applying for the Indian ETA is a relatively simple process if you follow all the steps and have all the necessary documents in order. Make sure to meet all the requirements to ensure a hassle-free travel experience.
