A. The Benin e-Visa can be requested at least 5 days in advance; however, it is advisable to request it 15 days prior to the travel date to ensure that everything is in order and there are no last-minute issues with flights or accommodation bookings.


Q. What do I need to apply for the e-Visa to Benin?

A. To apply for the e-Visa to Benin you will need the scanned copy of the passport which must be valid for 6 months after the date of entry into the country.

A. Our management fee is 79 dollars for the standard option. Additionally, you will need to pay government charges, which may vary depending on the nationality, type of visa, or chosen travel document. For other options, an additional fee will be applied based on the processing time.


Q. What is the permitted length of stay in Benin with the e-Visa?

A. The permitted length depends on the type of visa you have selected. The single entry visa and the multiple entry visa allows you to stay 30 days. The 90 day multiple entry allows you to stay 90 days. 


Q. Can the e-Visa be extended?

A.  Yes, the e-Visa can be extended 30 days, however, if you have selected the 90 days visa, it is inlikely that your visa will be extended. In any case we recommend you to visit the consulate/embassy before the expiration of your visa.  


Q. Is there a transit visa? is it required for Benin?

A. No, there is not a transit visa. If you have to pass through Benin to travel to another country, you would have to apply for the e-Visa.

A.  Before making any changes to your application, please consider the following points:


  1. If your application has been processed and confirmed, no changes can be made.

  2. If your application is still being processed, no changes can be made.

  3. You will only be able to modify your application if you have pending documentation or data on your application form. Please note that once you confirm your application, an automated system starts to make checks and connections with our databases. This is why you should thoroughly check all your application details and documentation before confirming the registration of your application.

A.  The e-Visa is valid for 30 or 90 days, depending on the selected type of visa.
