How far in advance of my trip should I request the eVisa?


The eVisa for Cuba can be requested up to 3 days before travel, but it recommended to apply at least 10 days in advance to avoid unforseen issues and ensure timely approval.


What do I need to apply for the eVisa to Cuba?


To apply for the eVisa, you must meet the following specific requirements:

  • Eligible Nationality: You may apply for the eTA if your nationality or citizenship IS NOT listed below:


AFRICA: Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia


ASIA: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Nepal, Pakistan, Syria, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Yemen


AMERICA: Haiti


OCEANIA: Philippines


  • Passport: You must have a valid passport with a validity of at least 6 months after your intended date of entry to Canada. It is crucial to have a scanned copy of your passport to attach during the application process.




I have requested the eVisa, how long does it take to process?


The processing time for the eVisa can vary depending on the accuracy of the information provided and the documentation attached to the application. If all information is correct, the process usually takes up to 48 hours; however, many receive a response sonner. 

In addition, the eVisa is processed in alongside with " de Viajeros" document, which must be processed no later than 7 days prior to entry into the country. Therefore, approval of the eVisa will be received as soon as it is possible to complete this mandatory procedure.



What is the cost of the eVisa to Cuba?


The total cost of the eVisa for Cuba is $101, which includes the government fee of €22 and a service fee of €79. This service fee covers application review24/7 support, and a simplified process to prevent errors and delays.


How long is the eTA for Canada valid, and what is the permitted stay with it?


The Cuba eVisa is valid for a single entry, with its validity starting upon arrival in the country. It allows a maximum stay of 90 days and can be extended once for an additional 90 days, allowing for a total stay of up to 180 days in Cuba.


Is there a transit visa? is it required for Cuba?


Yes, Cuba offers a transit visa. If your layover in the country is less than 72 hours and you do not plan to leave the airport's transit area, you generally do not need a visa. However, if you wish to leave the airport during your stopover, you must apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate.

Once you have received your approval letter, the next steps will depend on your travel plans and the purpose of your trip. Below, we have outlined some of the usual steps:

  • Travel insurance: 
    Consider taking out travel insurance to cover any unexpected event or emergency during your trip. 

  • Local traditions and laws:

  2. If your application is still being processed, no changes can be made.
